A largely affluent area that boasts some of Leeds’ most impressive houses, residents of Roundhay are never short of things to do. At the area’s heart lies the famous 700 acre Roundhay Park, which boasts manicured gardens, a Tropical World, tennis courts, skateboard ramps, bowling greens, a sports arena, fishing, golf course and a lakeside café. The park also plays host to many events, including an annual bonfire and fireworks night, many sporting events, music festivals and flower shows. Beyond the park, Roundhay tenants are spoilt for choice too, with a host of shops and cafes along Street Lane, a Mexican and Italian restaurant and several pubs, including the family friendly Roundhay Fox, which serves great food all day, and the Streets of Leeds. The area is also served by a regular bus service to the centre of Leeds and some of the best schools in the area, making this a great place to live for families.
